"You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins."
– Jim Stovall

Tour Guide Executive Board
Coordination Chair
Each year, Vanderbilt welcomes over 100,000 guests to its campus for various events and programs. For three years I served as a Tour Guide, a student liaison for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions assisting with in-person correspondence between prospective students and their families and the university by providing informative tours of campus.
As the Coordination Chair my senior year, I was in charge of organizing events and group dismissals for programs including MOSAIC, Anchor Days, Counselor Conference, Black and Gold Days, and PreVU Days.
I created the weekly schedule for 180 guides each semester and oversaw a budget of $16,000 for the organization to dispense among the guides as repayment for their services. I collaborated with admissions officers to create an annual schedule for the organization with 1 to 2 tours each day, ensuring every tour time was properly staffed. I appointed 12 captains to assist with organizing the tour times every week. For guides who were unable to fulfill the organization's commitment, I managed a Special Status account and an Additional Advisory Period to keep them motivated.
As a tour guide for three years, I shared my experience at Vanderbilt with potential students and their families to help them make an informed decision. As an executive member of the Tour Guide board, I managed budgets, activities, and commitment to the organization.

The Concorde, What If?
The BAC Concorde was a pioneer of high speed and optimization of flight reaching speeds above Mach 2.04 at over 60,000. Only 14 of the 20 planes built were commercially used when the Concorde was retired in 2003. The decision to fly passengers sub-sonically, the lack of maintenance support, and concerns from 9/11 grounded a flying luxury deemed "ahead of its time.”
What if renovations and modern considerations could be made to make a three-hour flight from New York, to London feasible?

XJet Nanoparticle Printing
Nanoparticle jetting will altar 3D printing for aerospace, medical, jewelry, auto, and dental industries. The security in the Nanoparticle Jetting method developed by XJet would allow companies, like GE Aviation to change its production methods and create possibilities that before now, had been a figment of the imagination. In this sector, it is important to conduct research to understand the product climate and competition.
